As the album creeps closer, it's becoming apparent to me that they're not approaching this the way they did with BTW. There isn't going to be an onslaught of promo in an effort to get a huge first week. It appears they're going for more of a "soft launch" approach which includes smaller, more effective promo spots throughout the era to ensure longevity.
I'm not sure if it'll work since a big part of Gaga is all the hype, which isn't a bad thing. But at the same time, the smaller promo has worked for Applause so far.
