The amount of posts in this base of people who think Hard Candy is a discography highlight is deeply troubling.

Actually just the amount of time we talk about that album in general is upsetting.

Now that everyone's been won over (as much as possible) to Bedtime Stories, it's time to win everyone over to Hard Grammy. Forget what you know about the production, forget about the producers & the charts and the critical reception, and your prejudices, just either:

a) find some HQ ass headphones and listen to the album from start to finish;
b) blast the album on some GREAT speakers and dance for your LYFE or;
c) watch the Sticky & Sweet Tour and love it wholly

And then try and say you didn't at least bop your head a biT. No one's bopping to Bedtime Stories so much as they are weeping about their failed relationships & loneliness.

Ugh, it is American Boy 0.5 at best. It isn't even 1/7th as good as AB.


I think the best way to describe my feelings of people coming around to Hard Candy in the base is it feels like being in a zombie apocalypse and I just keep seeing people fall around me to this horrible horrible disease that turns them into mindless creatures.

The only difference is I'm not worried about catching the disease at all because I've listened to the album numerous times and I'm not worried about ever thinking it is anything but her worst album.

The cover still just slays me to this day. I know it's very easy to hate, but I love how graphic and in-your-face it is. I am disappointed by the music, but it is quite fun in parts.

It's kinda what I love about it. Like she knows damn well it's kinda an ugly a mess and that everyone was gonna say "she's 2 old!!1" and that's exactly what she wanted. She wanted it to be controversial and ugly, and she wanted to look like a tough, no-fux bitch. And it worked!

You honestly think MDNA > Hard Candy? Hard Candy is better than both MDNA and Like A Virgin.

And I agree that it's nowhere near as good as American Boy, but it could have been marketed in a way that allowed it to see at least some of the success of that song.

MDNA has actual genuine highlights though.

And don't even try it with Like A Virgin. Over and Over is the only blah song on it and Material Girl can be a bit much, but the rest of LAV is fantastic and certainly better than HC. But LAV is better than American Life, Music, and Rebel Heart too.

Yeah, it certainly wouldn't be cute, especially in this current climate of extreme sensitivity and SJW internet. Madonna ha DWUW. But still, perchedT for the leak And yeah, I always interpreted the "black" in Black Madonna as having to do with the style of music and influences. Which would only have added salt to the wound

There is no way Black Madonna would have went down well. Especially if it sounded like Hard Candy. It would have ruined her (and honestly deservedly so if she was foolish enough to do that).

It isn't even about sensitivity or SJWs with that. Any idiot could see miles away () that that would be a racist and a downright stupid way to present the album. There are just so many things wrong with that concept.
