Fact is, not many American's like Ashlee anymore! She never fully recovered from the SNL incident, then her Nose Job, and now the whole thing with Pete Wentz; has lost her a bunch off Female fans aswell.
Ashlee's gonna need a MEGA hit, to get her back to the top there. Even if ''Bittersweet World'' was another rock/pop style album, it would still ''Flop''.
She just another Jessica to most people. She needs to start focusing on other parts of the world, like the UK (But maybe i'm just being selfish, cause that's where I live :P)

I don't really blame SNL anymore. She had a pretty big hit with I Am Me. I think a lot of what has hurt her is the new sound. You can't discount that but she alienated a lot of her fan base by going the hip hop route and using Timbo and everything.
Yeah there are other factors and some of those are her own fault too. I think a lot of people still remember the canceled tour dates when she was "sick" but yet she was going out shopping at the malls. I think a lot of people remember how she never does anything to meet the fans. After the shows she runs to her bus and won't sign any autographs. Yeah, Britney Spears is the same way but the difference is Britney can afford to do stuff like that...Ashlee can't. But even though Britney never signed autographs she was at least nice about it and waved at the fans and thanked us for coming out before running into her limo. Ashlee didn't even acknowledge our presence and this isn't just one show this happened at...this happened at several shows.
In at least a couple of those instances there was only about 10 of us that were standing there so it wouldn't have taken her any time to come out and take some pics and sign some autographs. At least her band members came out and hung out with us for a few hours at a couple of shows.

I dont think its her new sound, i think she just waited too long to release a cd. 3 years ago she had ALOT of hype, even after snl 'I Am Me' still had a lot of hype around it. She should'ave released another cd early 2007 but instead she lost alot of her fans because they probably forgot about her/dont care anymore.
if this cd came out in 2007 then it would probably be a hit....

Oh please. She flopped because she didn't promote and didn't release a proper single before the release of the album. Too bad..cuz the album is by far one of the best things to happen this year.

She actually made it to 50,000 albums. I guess that's good considering it looked like she was barely going to get 25,000 albums early on. But still it's really bad for Ashlee.

50,000 is a good sales part for this time. Doesn't anyone consider the fact that CDs were selling amazingly back when Auto and IAM came out? BW came out in the time where songs sell more than albums! Be happy Simpson fans!

Is easily maybe people still thinking in SNL, I don't think that is her new sound because Little Miss Obsessive is totally like Invisible and it will chart because Ashlee was promoting it, maybe the pushed back thing is one of the things, the club tour. Maybe Ashlee is tired because people always bash her when she is a singer.

Ashlee Simpson will soon be back with a reality TV show, reports OK!
Of course, Joe Simpson, Ashlee’s dad and manager, is behind all of this.
“Joe knows that no one cared about (Jessica) before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect,” a source says.
One record-industry insider adds, “She’s been struggling with record sales. Now that she’s really interesting again, a reality show could do wonders for her career. It’s a part of doing business for this family.”
Could this help take Ashlee’s career back to the top? The first season of The Ashlee Simpson Show ran in the summer of 2004, and her first album, Autobiography, dropped a month into the show’s run and debuted at No. 1.
