Element

dwuw – Taylor Swift -- Mosaics

iTunes Banner: This is really nice! I love the photo, and I think that the font is placed correctly. My major issue is the “new album” text looks squished into the bottom. 9/10

Album Cover: I like the simplicity, but I was hoping for something more interesting. The gray text in that location does not work too well, IMO. The photo is a great choice though! 7/10

Back cover: I like the stripes as a design element. However, there is something clunky about this back cover. I think it might be the font choice or the organization of all of the song titles. You had a full cover to use to your advantage, but everything is kind of squished into those stripes. I examined the cutting on Taylor’s body, and it is done well. Thank you for adding those labels in the bottom as well. 8/10

CD: This is perfect. I love that you utilized the title in your design on the disc, and I really wish that you did this in the rest of the entry. If you had done a mosaic theme throughout each design, I think your era would have gone to the next level! Anyway, this disc is gorgeous. 10/10

Single covers:

Spectrum – I like the color splash, and the text works. 9/10

Mosaics – I like the blurred effect quite a bit, but there is something a little underwhelming here. 8/10

Howl – Yas. Love this and the explanation. This could very well be the future of single covers. 10/10

Magazine cover – It’s a good start, but I am not a huge fan of all of your font choices. They are rather bland and they look squished. The dimensions of the cover look incorrect, too. I like the picture you chose, but overall this cover is not that outstanding -- 6/10

Overall concept: Really cute. I could see this as a legit era. I am really proud of your journey in this competition, and some of your elements of this era are really creative and well done. Other parts fall flat and are a little too simple. I love that you designed lyrics and promo, though – I think you had true dedication and interest in designing your era. You did the require parts and threw in some added flare!! Thank you!

Devil – Rihanna – Self-Titled

Album cover: I like the composition of this. The flowers are very well placed, and the color combination makes a really good impact. I am torn about the brick wall background, and I also think that the cutting around her hair is a little rushed. However, those are minor details overall. 9/10

Back cover: I like the simplicity of this back cover, but in this challenge, I was hoping for something more innovative. I also have a problem: the handwritten font might be hard for some people to look at in a list format. I really love all the details at the bottom! You made it look very realistic. 9/10

Single covers: There is something about that picture choice in Open Up that stands out to me in a great way. Also, in Forlorn, I LOVE the different colors vibrating out of her shoulder. The coloring is well done and is incredibly consistent. I just wish there was something more exciting, you know? The text placement on all of these is good too.

iTunes Banner: This is absolutely perfect, design wise. The only thing I have to mention is the use of “gets” instead of “get”, which is incorrect. Grammar errors in design are my biggest pet peeves, and I have to look at every little detail in this challenge. 9.8/10

Tour Poster: Hmmmm. I am torn about this poster. I see what you were going for, but I am not a fan of how she is half cut off of the poster. I also really dislike the font and size that you chose for the dates. I do appreciate the consistency with the rest of the era. 7/10

Overall: This is such a cohesive era, which is really impressive! If only pop girls would stick to their designs throughout their eras in real life. The particular shade of blue was a little jarring, but it seems to be your signature color, so I appreciate that you put yourself into your design like that. While the design was consistent, I was really hoping for something to take it to the next level. It was pretty simplistic, albeit well executed. It was a pleasure to watch you this season!

Era – Katy Perry – Spectacle

I like your choice of font for “Spectacle” but I am torn about the “Katy Perry” font. I think the T bothers me mainly.

Album cover: Literally in love with this. It’s entrancing and has some great effects. The deluxe edition looks great too. 10/10

Short booklet: Aha! This is gorgeous. I love the way that you continued the splatter/color themes into the booklet. There a few minor inconsistencies in here that I am going to penalize for, because it is the finale. The “Ringer Leader” typo is the main one, and the other is that some of the text is not properly aligned with the other text (track 11, for example) – 9.8/10

CD Cover: Freaking flawless. 10/10

Back Cover: I love the two little pieces on the left and right sides. This is really gorgeous. I think that the shirtless clown is a little out of place. Also, the words “TRACKLIST” and “DELUXE” get lost in the shuffle, IMO. 9.5/10

Single covers: I love your descriptions and chart peaks! Your effort is outstanding.

Ring Leader: 10/10

American Escape: THIS ONE IS BEYOND PERFECT. 10/10

Balcony: I love this, except for the poor placement of the “Katy Perry” text. 9.25/10

Once Upon A Lie: I get the reference with the golden font, and the bigger “O”, but I think it looks a little cheesy here. 9.5/10

iTunes Banner/Article: Exactly what I would want to see on iTunes. I love that you put the album cover in the New Music section as well. Article is fantastic. 10/10

Magazine cover: This is extremely well done. Your font choices are basically perfect, and the colors are great. I love how it fits into the theme of the era too. 10/10

Tour Poster: Love this!!! Your gradient shapes slay me. I also love how the word SPECTACULAR looks going over her body. The details are phenomenal – my only major issue is the placement of “with special guests HAIM”, but it’s barely noticeable. 9.8/10

Overall: This era is GORGEOUS. I literally got so excited when I saw your message. The color scheme, effects, photoshoot -- all perfect. The era is cohesive, stylish, and really well planned out. Thank you for putting in the extra effort with all of the designs as well! You have an amazing talent, and I want to thank you for sharing it with us.

Mica – Sky Ferreira – Dissolve

iTunes banner: I am torn about this. I think that the painting is really cool here, but the picture is a little creepy. It might draw certain people to the album, but it also might drive them away. Your font choices are solid, but I think that the colors – especially “Sky Ferreira” are too light or do not complement each other in the best way. They are good, but not the best choice for a combination in my opinion – 9.25/10

Album Cover: I wish that the colored bits were a little more powerful. I really like the text in the background, and the picture of Sky is fierce. I feel like this cover could have POPPED a little more though. 9.25/10

CD: This looks really cool! I would love to take this out of the case. 10/10

Back Cover: This is really solid. I love Pacifico as a font, but I don’t know if it is the best choice here. The light paint splatters actually look really good on the back as little suggestions, and the details are well done. 9.5/10

Single Covers: These three covers are incredible. The manipulations are amazing and so entrancing to look at. I LOVE the iPods as your display, and the overall composition of all three of the covers is perfect.

Flower Child: 10/10

Cliché: 10/10 – my favorite of the three! Slay.

Wondrously: 10/10

Magazine Cover: I think this is really beautiful! Your font choices are on point. My main issue is that it doesn’t fit into the pastel scheme of your era, even though that color is really nice. I love that the “V” has the same newspaper text/splatter theme though. I would totally pick this magazine up at the store! 9.5/10

Tour Poster: This is the highlight of your entry, in my opinion. The palette, the picture, and the design features are all FLAWLESS. This tour poster is one of my favorite designs of the season. I wish you used this palette in certain parts of the entry! 10/10

Overall: I really appreciate your effort into making this so beautifully formatted and designed! The era is pretty cohesive, and the theme you chose is really, really cool, and well executed. I have been incredibly pleased with your work this season, and this entry is a really wonderful way to complete the season. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

Album cover and packaging: Quite lackluster and looks very lazy. I appreciate what you were going for, but it's just so basic and certainly not something Taylor would ever allow. 3/10
Title and songs: I love the concept for the albums and I appreciate you including the singles along with promo and everything. I think the song titles are great and I think it's awesome that you included sample lyrics. Very good! 9/10
Extra: You didn't include much more but I believe you couldn't have done too much more with the concept.
Basically, I think your idea was great but the design was just not up to par with anyone else.

Devil
Album cover and packaging: It wasn't super original, but I think it looks very good. I love the blue throughout all aspects of the packaging, and I like the effects you used. 7.5/10
Title and songs: You lose points for the self-titled aspect of it. I get that it's personal or whatever, but it just isn't creative. The song titles are quite generic and almost all sound like ballads, which is not what the era's design would indicate. 5/10
Extras: I loved the tour poster (but really, a Rihanna tour with only 13 dates??) and the iTunes banner. The design translates well to these different applications. 8/10
The overall design was very nice. A tad bit safe, but very fluid and nice-looking.

Era
Album cover and packaging: You didn't take a huge risk, but I appreciate the little details that tie the entire design together. You definitely still have the least cohesive entry out of everyone, but that also makes it more realistic. 7/10
Title and songs: I know it isn't the same concept, but the title sounds quite a lot like Prism. That's just one little thing that bugs me, but it's generally very good. The song titles are the slightest bit bland but that's okay. Also, just FYI, the album cover (which is great by the way) lists her first single as "Ringer Leader" but that's just a little mistake. I really like the idea behind the album and I greatly appreciate the effort you put into giving details on the album and each single. 8/10
Extras: So much extras! I love the tour poster, booklet, CD, Billboard article, iTunes promo, all of it. Great job and I really appreciate the effort. 10/10
This is a great final entry. Again, I cannot stress how much it meant to me that you gave such a good effort on all your extra pieces.

Album cover and packaging: Not gonna lie, it didn't blow me away. This is easily the weakest aspect of your entry and it does kind of detract from the amazing other parts. 7/10
Title and songs: Very original, the songs all sound interesting, and I just really like it. Very good job. 9/10
Extras: Yaaaaasssss! This is where your amazing design skills really shine through! The magazine is amazing, the iPods with the singles are genius, the tour poster is beautiful, I want all of it for myself. Fantastic job! 10/10
Beautiful. I can't explain exactly why, but your entry is just the clear winner to me. It shows great design knowledge as well as ample extras to enjoy. I hope you win for this.

DWUW - 8.5/10
Ill start with what i like. The thing i liked the most is probably the CD design. I think that you had the best one among you peers. I can really see the amount of creativity you put into that particular part of the challenge. Also the itunes banner looks flawless, and very much like an iTunes banner! I also really liked the magazine cover. Of the single covers, the only one that looked legible was the "Mosiac" one. This leads to the aspects of your entry i did not enjoy. All your single covers look the same, and the only one that looks neat as a single cover to me is the Mosiac one. And the album cover itself is very bland, and is the weakest point of your entry. In terms of the nitty gritty stuff, like scheduling, tracklisting, album title, etc. It all works. Everything you planned made sense and you really made this feel like a real era, which was a big part of the challenge. Overall, you did very well in this particular challenge, and did well in the competition. Congratulations for making this far, but i'm not surprised as you just have a natural affinity for photoshop.

Devil - 8.5/10
I would firstly like to start off by saying i like the fact you did a self titled album. Simple and to the point! The backing of the CD looks very attractive, i love the font and color scheme that you chose too. In terms of the single covers, i really enjoyed the last 2 you provided. ESPECIALLY Open Up, had that been a real cover i could see it becoming a meme ala Anaconda. I also really adored the tour poster, because it's not extra. However, there were some areas where you lost me. I don't love the album cover, i can see you went for a simple uniform theme, but it doesn't work here. It needs more to appeal to eye because it kinda comes off as... mediocre. Also your itunes banner is probably the weakest of the bunch. Overall as a contestant you have always slayed with your unique interpretations and thoughts in your entries. This week was no disappointment! You really deserved to make it this far.

Era - 10/10
Let me start with everything i like. The fonts in the album cover are cute and i like the picture you used of her. Where you shined the most was probably the album booklet though. I really liked the pictures you used (again) and how you incorporated the tracklisting into it. Your CD is also pretty cool, what i love about it the most is that it kinda looks like a vinyl. It's really cool, and i can't find many flaws in your editing of it. Your American Escape single cover is AMAZING. I'm look at your entry from the last challenge, and i'm shocked that the same person made this. Honestly, it's better than some of Katy's official single covers. Props to you. The "Ring Leader" cover is also well done. The itunes banner is also well done, along with the magazine and tour poster. However, there are some flaws in your entry. Everything about your album cover is nice, the font, the pic, etc. But they don't blend together well, it looks very coverlandia. Theres nothing wrong with that, but you're single covers outshine it. Speaking of your single covers, i didn't love the ones for balcony and once upon a lie. They're not bad, i just didn't love them. And the CD back looked kinda strange to me. To end off, this is by FAR your strongest entry. I have been pretty hard on you the past few challenges, so i'm shocked to of liked your entry so much. I'm impressed by how much you stepped your game up and i can see why you made it as far as you did.

Mica - 10/10
Firstly i loved the packaging. Your album cover is definitely the best among your peers. The CD is simple and cute and goes well with the theme of the era you created. Your single covers are also adorable! I love how they all correspond and go well with the theme of the era. Your probably the only person who i have loved every single one of their single covers. I also think you have created the best tour poster, in a visual aspect. It's eyecatching and noteworthy. The two things i did not love about your entry was firsty the itunes banner. It's just a tad basic and unappealing. Your Magazine cover also doesn't really fit the theme of the era, or the look imo. I think you could of chosen a better picture. Overall, your entry was near perfect. And near perfect in a challenge as hard as this, is basically perfect. I see the hard work you put into this, and i can see why you made it this far.

I wish that it is color rather than Black and white to match every graphic you posted so far. Howl bein' a gif kinda make no sense to me.. If you made the gif for it, then you should have made the rest single cover as a gif. It would have been perfect.

The picture seems so MQ(Middle Quality) to me, you should have add more effects to make it more HQ. Rather than this, I feel like you should have gone for the tour poster, it would have been perfect.

I appreciate how you decided to keep your cool in after I scored some of your work low unlike others. It means that you can face the constructive criticism no matter how good or bad is it. And You have been vastly improve from the first challenge to this last and final challenge. So, an addition to congratulation to make it far. It doesn't matter if you have won or not.
