Best thing about Body Party re-entering the top 40 on the Hot 100 is that it got there all by itself! The debut was mainly thanks to the video release, and people thought that it would continue to decrease, but instead it increased on radio and stayed consistent both digitally and streaming-wise.

Now... let's hope that it doesn't start decreasing too much on radio, so that the promo effect can help it re-peak and establish itself as a hit! An R&B song doing this well is surprsing however... by a female artist who has been through lots of flopping recently!

I think the video being banned on BET killed its impact as well. The song got no premiere on 106 & Park and it was banned on other television networks. MTV only played the video after 10:00pm and it was rare that they did because there are no Music Videos played at night.

The streaming would of definitely helped because it was consistent, and the song didn't even have promo til the album release. Jive records was just a hot ass mess.
