While LIGHTS can be easily written off as another indie-minded pop artist, this year I've learned that she's actually a very dynamic artist. This song for instance is pure pop energy, it actually makes me want to see her live. I wish artists like Ellie Goulding would actually take comfort in this type of sound instead of trying to change to fit into the mainstream.
Louane "Jeune (J'ai Envie)"
Compared to the rest of her singles in this countdown this one is a bit repetitive but very well intentioned. It has this innocent bubbly carefree sound that suits her voice so well and that makes this simple ballad an anthemic song. Don't even bother watching the video though, they used a hideous remix version for it.
Fall Out Boy "American Beauty / American Psycho"
I'm not exactly sure I understand the meaning of this song (or the album it represents), I suppose it's just another form of social criticism but that still doesn't explain the weird video. Either way, after a few weeks having it on repeat it aged terribly and now I can barely stand it. One of Fall Out Boy's weakest singles to date.
Kodaline "Love Will Set You Free"
One of the highlights of Kodaline's latest album, I'm so glad it was released as a single. It's a very simple piano ballad and nothing more. The lyrics are kinda cheesy if you over analyze them but the overall feeling of the song itself is heavenly.
Sam Hunt "Take Your Time"
I've noticed there's this current trend of mainstream country artists attempting to incorporate elements of other genres like pop, rock, indie and in this case R&B (?) into their songs. I have to say at first I wasn't a big fan of this song cause he basically doesn't sing he raps/talks or something, but those heart-warming lyrics and that catchy hook made me finally give in.
Nothing But Thieves "Wake Up Call"
This song is as old as 2014 but it's been re-released with a brand new video this year to support this rising band's debut album. I had to split its run between two years because Trip Switch gave me more life than I expected but they will definitely be back next year. If you still don't know them don't be too quick to write them off as another indie band, they're genious.
Brandon Flowers "Still Want You"
If you know me you're probably surprised to see this song charting here, let alone this high. I'm not the biggest fan of The Killers, I find their music extremely dull and pretentious and Brandon's previous solo efforts were pretty much the same for me. This song took me by surprise, those high-pitched vocals in the chorus are so catchy it hurts, it had to be here.
Saint Motel "My Type"
Despite having been featured in several adds and commercials I swear I didn't know this old song before. It's very funky and impossible to avoid at first listen. What I like the most about it would be the music video (the original released in 2014 not the Paper Towns edit), it shows you don't need a big budget to create a great music video.
Kelly Clarkson "Invincible"
After the huge commercial disappointment that was HS Kelly goes back to her comfort zone with this Sia-penned empowerment belter. I've seen many people expressing disappointment about this song being chosen as a single but I think they were trying to show Kelly's old fans that she hasn't changed, which in her case is a bad thing
Nico & Vinz "In Your Arms"
I'm still mad about this duo becoming a one-hit wonder. They had everything to be huge WW: perfect material, a clean image, and a fresh sound, I fail to see what Jason Derulo has that they don't, just to name an example. This song was vastly underrated, I love its flawless production and the cute little message in its lyrics. I guess their label sucks at promoting.
Thanks for your comments.

El top 100 empezó muy bien
Ride y The Less I Know The Better en el mismo set Aunque muy abajo :CALLA:
Hero
Por cierto, en un set de por allá atrás, My House tiene el #96, cuando en realidad es el 86
I didn't like Sam very much when I first heard Montevallo (and I bought his album when it first came out, along with 1989 for whatever reason), but he grew on me and I love all his stuff now
I actually just heard my first twenty one pilots song earlier today (I think it was Stressed Out?)
and I really enjoyed it, I might check their album out
