I'm now using CS6 Extended and it's the same problem as it was with CS5, so I'm guessing this is something up with my computer but this never used to happen before a couple of months ago when I lost all my files and had to re-install Photoshop.

If it matters, I used the Video Frames to Layers method.

i understand what your saying completely. i went through the same mess and that's why i don't use the smart object sharpening method. it's messes up my gifs, i dont know how to fix the timing (the gif end sup being tragic), and it makes alot more mess.

even tho it takes longer, the sharpening one by one method is better (if you need an action that does it for you, please let me know). i use the video frames to layers method too (the best method unless your gifing movies than you use the import layers method from a media player).

I was just resistant to switch methods since that's the one that I used to use for years, but if it's the best option

this was me in the beginning of gif making till like early this year lol. i always used psds and i would customize them here and there but i never really knew how to make my own coloring. but now, i basically only make my own coloring lol. all you need is to have the Color Balance, Levels, Curves, Brightness/contrast, & selective coloring layers tbh.

omg that's a great choice, i love that song & the video has such a nice aesthetic

honestly, it just takes time. i could give you a psd i used on a DEAN avi i made from the 'Shut Up & Groove' video you if want? it actually works for everything kinda which shocked the hell out of me lol.

But I kind of messed up with the cropping imo

Also, little tempted to download another version but then again i used to have one without the animation / timeline feature so mi gifs were always unsharpened and no way i'm having that again. The video to frames feature would be nice but i get along just fine with KMP Player.

omg nooo! your colored gif looks great omg i swear it does

& omg really? ugh, that sounds terrible & i'm sorry you had to go through that mess tbh. the headaches i can imagine already

& yours doesnt have the video to frames feature? tbh it should, hmmm.

but KM Player works well, it takes a bit longer to load but it always serves you great quality so that's always a plus and its one of the easier type of programs to use (i tried VLC player or whatever it's called and i messed up so bad ) so as long as it works for you & your content with it, that's all that matters
