imagine as consumer in like a target not being able to read what music is on this ... cd
It's not like the CD(Vinyl) isn't going to be wrapped in plastic saying this is Rihanna "ANTi" featuring the hit songs (Grammy nominated) FFS, BBHMM and the new track "such n such"...come on people, think a little.
The Anti album cover is taken from Nachum's painting "If They Let Us, Part 1." The image features a mesmerizing photorealist interpretation of Rihanna as a little girl in Barbados, holding a black balloon ("a metaphor of escaped reality," according to Nachum), and with a crown covering her eyes (" ... a symbol of power and success, which blinds people to the real values and important things in life"). The title of the piece is taken from a Chloe Mitchell poem addressing one of the main themes in Rihanna's work — being powerful yet misunderstood — which Nachum translated into Braille on the canvas.
But a "Generic Label Puppet" when she plays it safe. You guys will always find something negative to say, it's not like you would even buy the album anyways.
I think it's a great idea, as it will give people a reason to get the physical copy. It's good she is collaborating with artist and gives them the credit they deserve. The thing about experimenting is sometimes it can work or fail but it's about taking that risk.
Also are we going to act like she is the same person she was two years ago?
I would have been disappointed if I did not see some type of artistic growth.
