It is one thing to do this subconsciously (which doesn't make it okay), but another thing entirely to be completely aware of it, even making it into some kind of joke like Raven here, and have absolutely no shame. The latter is obviously the worse of the two. It's pretty disgusting tbh.

. . . or at least until her negatives rise to the point where she's considered a liability to the show. That's why Star Jones got the boot. The thing about a lot of the former View regulars is that they all had somewhere to go after the show. Raven's burning bridges with remarks, and based on what she said in her latest apology, the offers for acting work aren't really there.

This was literally the first thing I thought. Raven's been self-hating since the START, unlike a lot of these ATRLers would like to tell you but I'm dead at anything that sounds like those names originating in Africa smh.

Also the irony of everyone feeling the need to respond to her ignorance with misogynistic targeting of her appearance, we need to do better. This happens anytime there's backlash against anyone and is a good example of how our society isn't improving fast enough. ie. any Azealia thread
