Arguably the biggest cultural icon of the last decade, Britney Spears' alarmingly atypical music, versatily, and fun, loving personality have made her ultimately revered.
Britney's substandard live performances, excessive tendency to lip-sync, and sub-par singing voice are normally frowned upon.
She has a very obvious passion for her profession.
Has helped to revitalized pop music and further popularize dance/electronic pop.
Her singles are generally very catchy and memorable.
Amazing style.
Cons:
Her artistry/intellectuality is perhaps exaggerated by fans and the media.
Her personality is perhaps too bizarre for her own good? It's novel and exciting to have an artist who is a bit of an odd thinker, but it could possibly work against her in the long run as the novelty wears off.
Pros: She is such an amazing artist! Always brings visually entertaining and creative videos, performances, etc. She has gotten to be such a beautiful woman inside and out.
Cons: Overworks herself too much. I worry bout her sometimes with that.
Pros: Better than Aguilera and a lot of other bands and artists out there. Lots of creativity, let's hope she doesn't tap herself out of that too soon.
Cons: I'm just not her electronica sound. She's much more than that though
Working a lot isn't a bad thing. You really HAVE to work as much as she does to have the success she has. It doesn't just come to you. Her iTunes downloads, sold old tours, album sales, all that comes from hours and hours of work none of us ever see.
If you want it, and she does, she really, really does, you've got to work your ass off. And once you've done that, you've got work it off A LOT more. If you think handling a 9-5 can be stressful and driving you to insanity you'll never take a day in the music business. 4am wake up calls, maybe 2 hours of sleep... this was cited by Nsync as hours they once did for months at a time.
Gaga is just showing how much she wants it, and as long as she keeps going she'll be fine. Once she stops it'll be really hard for her to get back into that gear again.
