Again, Taylor is one of the biggest stars in the world at the moment. People talk about her a lot. When something like that makes its way to the internet, its not at all a surprise that some sites like E! and Ryan Seacrest will post about it online.
You're acting like its only genuine if no one hears about it.....but if there was nobody posting about it or saying anything, you'd say she doesn't do anything at all.

Taylor has one of the largest, most insanely ruthless, unscrupulous, and ethically bankrupt PR teams ever. They even have their own Twitter account that they use to threaten fans (which she of course condones by permitting to exist). Perhaps you missed the thread about it.
You'd have to be blinded by your stan goggles to be oblivious to the fact that every last bit of good press that revolves around her is fed to the press by them. This isn't atypical or wrong on its own, of course--almost all celebrities nowadays have teams that do the same--but to prey upon the emotionally vulnerable and destitute for her own personal gain makes her little better than an emotionally manipulative con artist. Like a human version of
CBS's The Briefcase.
