Taylor is a force when It comes to sales but Rihanna was EVERYWHERE!!!!! Dominated Urban and pop simultaneously. Her music was even played on nerdy Morpg games I use to play back in middle school. Everytime you turned on the tv rihanna was there. Her impact was far greater than Taylor's. She only lacked the talent then. Her live appearances hurt her.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's still the bandwagon thing. After all, this site is full of young, delusional kids who will hop on anyone who is hot at the moment and won't even recognize the eras when they were babies.

Hmmm, to have impact, you need to be remembered, GGGB's singles (besides Umbrella I guess) all fail at it.
1989 has multiple hits too and US is a part of the world, there's no reason to exclude it (even though 2,6M in 2015 = 4.5M+ in 2007 and that Rihanna got a re-release ).

I was in middle/high school during the GGGB era. I know it all too well. I also know that Taylor is about to wreck its sales in a harsher sales climate without a rerelease.
