That aside the fact that she's even comparing struggles is ignorance enough and she just so happens to be doing it around her album release date. This isn't about womens rights, this is about Rebel Heart and attention.

Making us fight each other needlessly is exactly what the oppressor wants us to do.

You can tell me that with a straight face? So all the non virgins out there in monogamous relationship are systemically discriminated against? PLEASE. Even if there is ****shaming on an individual basis, that does not even compare to discrimination experienced by gays who can't even legally marry in all of the states.
You and Madonna, bitch about ****shaming and "dating younger man". I mean, do your cause a favor and try to mention abortion right's, healthcare rights regarding anti-conception or equal pay.
Smh.
And what are these "one or two things" you mention in regard to black people and gays? What is the equivalent of "**** and virgin" for those groups? Pfff.
|
SMH
all those more serious issues you said she should have mentioned stem from the same idea madonna talked about
people deny women abortion rights, healthcare rights and sexual rights because they're either a virgin or a *****
women are dehumanized every day and it's considered normal
good girls don't get raped, dress right, don't need healthcare rights and they get husbands so they need to be angry man hating feminists who want high status jobs with equal pay... sound familiar?

I see the gay white males have already fuxated the thread with privileged ignorance.
Ya'll want everything in your lives to be female-dominated until it comes to the real issues that effect them.

Disgusting! And no wonder you dont understand anything Madonna is trying to say!
Today on Daily Mail for example:
Quote:
Being called Barbie, jokes about wearing skirts and told to dye my hair to be taken seriously: Doctor reveals the sexual harassment she faces working in medicine
Dr Ashleigh Witt, from Melbourne, wrote essay against sexism in medicine
She revealed she had been told to dye her hair dark to be taken seriously
One consultant told her she had got her job because she was pretty

I mean, I'm just keeping it real. There's all this obsession for female music, hair-flipping, fashion, shade, drama, etc. but when it comes down to actual women's rights, very few people truly care and the misogyny always comes to the surface.
Too many people here have convinced themselves that because they are gay, they can't be sexist or contribute to the marginalization of any other minority group for that matter. Being a gay male does not exclude you from benefitting from living in a patriarchal society.
There are countries where women still aren't even allowed to drive cars without a man, own property, and are legally allowed to be physically abused and raped in public and these incidents rarely receive much media attention, because we've already been conditioned in the back of our minds that women are subordinate anyways.
So yeah, it's pretty ****ing lame to me when I sit here and listen to a bunch of gay white boys whining about how hard their lives are because somebody kicked sand in their face for wearing a rainbow t-shirt to school back in high school.

No, I agree with you on what you said and are saying now. The drag was ruthless and had yet to be said.

Agree with Madonna and you--women do have it the worst. But like another member said in this thread, it should not be a competition because it's only causing more hate than there already is. Not to mention that it is also very immature.
