23. Wife - What's Between
Ok I realized I can't keep posting without writing
something so I'm gonna muster up the energy and brain power to do so. (My god I sound so pathetic right now
)
So I've been a bit back and forth with this album but I've finally settled into its greatness. The only reason it's kind of hard for these songs to stick is because they don't get
really good until the last half of the song. I mean they're not all like that but a lot of them are. But when they do get really good, they're
really, really, really good. It's not exactly melancholy sounding but think of it as profound moments in time with brief sparks of exuberance. It's like when you're sitting by yourself and you're worrying a lot or over thinking something and then all of a sudden you get a quick burst of motivation... that's how these songs are structured. It's great once you get used to it. And I realize most pop music is structured very similarly that but it's not realistic like this is.
