This is sickening in every possible way and the fact that the police force/people in charge of the police force in Ferguson will most likely get away with this is disgusting on so many levels. I hope to God that this causes some type of legislation to be passed that will cause a crack down on police corruption. A police officer should not be allowed to murder an unarmed suspect.
The police and the looters need to be stopped. They're not contributing to anything America stands for so I hope they face consequences. This is tragic.
Poor kid, but in a way he'll serve as a lesson and his death will shed light on what's really happening with the “law“ enforcement system over there. Hopefully this gets resolved soon and without casualties.

Over there? This is happening all over the country.

Excuse me, I'm not from your country so I don't know the state it's currently in. I know about this particular incident because it was brought up on news and it's currently all over my twitter. Sorry if it came off as rude or “specific“.
Anonymous has released the police officer's name and is threatening to release his address/documents is he STL police don't cooperate. Here we ****ing go

Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you were from the U.S.

My thoughts go out to everyone affected. Starting to pick up major news coverage in the UK (thank god for the BBC, good to have a state-funded, unbiased source).
Still...violence, looting, arson, thievery etc aren't the correct way of getting your voice heard. I'm certain this is only a small minority, but going off what happened here in the UK with our riots in 2011, all the focus (and blame) was placed on the thugs and none on the reasoning/logic behind the protest. Nothing changed, police only got justification to become more severe. Things need to change, but things need to change in the correct manner. Non-violent protest, power in numbers, political lobbying.
Did I read right that all but 3 of Ferguson's police force are white?

It won't change a thing, just like all the other times a PoC has been unlawfully murdered by police and not a damn thing happens.

I unfortunately feel that this is correct. So many times we end up with no real changes happening in the aftermath allowing the same cycle to repeat itself.
