Carly, Katy and Nicki were my Top 3 I think. Florence, MCR and The Script were my bottom three.
I gave Sugababes the benefit of the doubt this round, due in part to the fact that I'm from the US where this song never took off, and this is a UK hit. UK and US culture is different. So for all I know that song could've been really popular with UK teens and kids. It had more obvious appeal to teens than Florence and The Script obviously.
The main reason Teenagers is in the bottom three is because of the Anti-Teenagers theme.
Top 3: 1. Call Me Maybe 2. Teenage Dream 3. The Anthem
Bottom 3: 16. Breakeven 17. Push The Button 18. Crank That
To the person who sent Crank That: I'm sorry, but that song might be one of my least favorites of ALL time. I was annoyed by it throughout 7th grade.
Crank That really WAS annoying and I hated it too, but it definitely was a teenage jam. When I started attending dances in 8th grade, everyone went CRAZY when that song came on.
Welp at my song being in more than one bottom three already. It may not be 100% teenager-related but it's definitely better than about 1/4 of the list.
And I agree with Teenagers being against it, it just wasn't in my bottom 3. I did demote it a biT because of that.
