Why are people expecting big streaming numbers for a song without a music video? Its YouTube streaming numbers are everything but bad. It's up 9 spots to #33 on Spotify while Loyal isn't charting in the top 100. Loyal is just outside the top 10 on radio and it's #82 and #120 on iTunes (almost top 60 combined,) yet somehow Not a Bad Thing is the radio-fueled hit out of the two?

I agree with you that Not a Bad Thing's iTunes performance is fine, but Loyal is definitely not a radio-fueled hit either. Loyal is higher on the Hot 100 than it is on the Airplay chart.
Team and Counting Stars are the airplay fueled songs in the chart atm (although they both were doing better on the other components many weeks ago, so they're fine imo, airplay is always the last to die down for big hits).
