Then explain why DIL is selling well if you would've already bought it then. No one knew about Grown Woman. And to be honest, i think Grown Woman could be a single. You can buy the singles/music videos separately, hence why the videos are doing well on the itunes music video charts. But why isn't Grown Woman doing well since it was promoted?
And it's not promo because in no way shape or form did they mention the album. Bey performed all old songs at the Super Bowl. Was Britney's judging on X Factor promo for Britney Jean? She was on tv every single week for multiple nights for months

Unfortunately, Britney used her spot on The X-Factor to launch "Scram & ****" instead of focusing on her own efforts. She even got a Beats commercial for the song.
Who needs to mention the album when the song's on there? Nobody is going to see the commercial and think "I wonder who sang that song that Beyoncé sang in that commercial?" It's not like it was so obscure that people had no idea what the music was in the commercial. On top of that, commercials have proven to be great boosts for nonrecognizable songs in obscure ass commercials that didn't feature the name of the song or anything. Cansei de Ser Sexy (?) received success with "Music Is My Girlfriend" and they weren't in the commercial nor are their names slightly recognizable. Why would the promo work for them over a 17 year veteran like Beyoncé?
DiL is selling well thanks to positive reception, social media popularity, radio support, a Grammy performance, a feature, etc. "Grown Woman" was not a secret. It was released during the SuperBowl. Over 100 million people saw it the first day the commercial played. What could possibly be bigger promo? Why would someone who saw a commercial a billion and nine times and wanted to buy the song featured wait 2 months till after the album was released to buy it?
