With new artists it's hard to promote without an album. It's smart.
I agree with you.But will it make sense in the UK,we could have a situation where the album overshadows the single and vice versa,I prefer traditional release for the UK at least so that the single and album reach their full potential.What do you think?
I think she definitely meant the single, because it's no way in hell they can think she will sell over 10,000 copies without a proper launch.
I don't think so. She literally said "I'm gonna drop it like its hot" which seems like the biggest hint. She also said in the same night the singles coming Monday, why would she think a week and a half is the same as 4 days?

I said the same thing. Releasing an album that fast without a proper launch is unrealistic. But appreantly she said the single is coming Monday, on the same day when she appreantly said the album is coming. It's just all so confusing.

Lol!Rita should be barred from making any statement abou news music until there is an official confirmation from her label.she is just confusing people.
Now that I watched the video, I definately think she meant the single. But still, damn, she should put it on pre-order first if she wants it to truly smash... It's easier to grab that high spot with pre-sales.

She also said that the single was coming right after summer, before the new year, then February, then in about a week...she doesn't know. She said "hopefully by Monday" so that doesn't even sound confirmed.

Same reason why she gave a thousand other release times for the single and "like a week" "a week and a half" and we still don't have a single. She just doesn't know.
I never gave her debut enough credit, it really was pretty good, if a little basic. If she serves up a really amazing album this time around I might stan.
