so i just have a few avatar questions. Are avatars hard to make. I would like to make some. How big should they be? and...general helpful stuff like that.
panic at the disco's cd comes out in march, and once i realized that that is really frickin close, im starting to get excited. maybe now that they've dropped the ! they'll also drop some of the more emo elements (try breathing a bit whilst singing, Brendon. maybe a few less words would help?).
coldplay is supposed to come back with a new album. its probably going to be good.
oasis is coming out with their seventh album, which is probably what i am looking forward to most. i don't own all of their albums (only 3 + at least 1 song off every other one), but i will own this one, no matter what the critics say. not everything off Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, and Heathen Chemistry was bad!
+44, though still hollow reminders of what blink was heading towards, could release an album this year. any songs along the lines of WYHSB or 155 will probably have me checking out their album.
what albums are you looking forward to most this year?
So i saw Cloverfield today, and i have some confessions i would like to make. i almost had a panic attack. i literally did. my entire body was shaking and i couldnt make it stop.
Cloverfield is the scariest movie I have ever seen. And it does it all while never getting a clear look at what we're so afraid of.
The home camera angle thing was probably the best decision for this movie, and part of the reason why i was so emotionally moved by this movie. Because, though the premise is obviously unrealistic, the movie actually seems like it is happening (or did really happen at one time).
The scene in the tunnel was the worst. By worst, I mean most terrifying. The small creatures the main one is shooting off just kept coming back, and the fate that befell Marlena was truly horific.
The monsters and overall destruction of New York was done very well. Some people whine, "It is too much like 9-11. That is tasteless."
Well, this argument might be valid...if it were January 2002. Should one get offended, one needed be for long. Anything evoking memories of 9-11 comes and gos within minutes. There's a lot of destruction and explosions, but only one scene truly reminded me of a 9-11 scenario, and you only see that once.
So, I would recommend this movie to most everyone except those who don't enjoy movies in which you are not spoon-fed and spoiled with information about what you are supposed to be afraid of.
I loved this movie. I can't wait til it hits DVD. I found you will either love or hate this movie. It's rarely in between. I love the set up of it, even though it can bug you sometimes.
