Bleh I was SO disappointed with The Knife's album. Seriously so disappointed. Not a fan of Sleigh Bells's either, but their only album I liked was their debut and even then only half of it...
I need to check out Toro y Moi's new album! Glad to hear that it's good. Happy to see AlunaGeorge in here as well.

I like the songs where there's actual vocals, I can do without the 20 minute instrumentals but overall the what? 4 actual songs were great.
Reflektor is amazing. No doubt their best alongside their debut in my opinion even their best.
I'm predicting either Matangi or Yeezus to be your #1.

This seems to be an extremely polarizing album, and I can see why. Many of the tracks are more drone/ambient and while they do fit in the general spectrum of the album a lot of people think they're, um, boring. I kind of agree, but god dammit, the standouts on this album are just SO good. Really is there anything better than Networking, Without You My Life Would Be Boring, Full of Fire, Raging Lung, etc? No.

they stopped making MUSIC after 2006.

This album is really special. It contains the best Prince album of the last 15 years, and has an already insanely ambitious artist not collapse under the pressure. It's not as diverse as her debut album, but it really doesn't need to be. The Electric Lady proves itself to be a much more personal sounding, and well rounded emotionally album, containing many more heartfelt and humorous tracks than the ArchAndroid. So I'm really happy with what Janelle gave us for this album, and in terms of the concept it really sticks to the theme well without sacrificing quality of music.
Bitter Rivals is such a guilty pleasure! Not sure why it gets so much hate as I think that the title track, Sugercane and Young Legends are some of their best songs. I also was suprised how good Annie's EP was. You really have to be in the mood for Shaking The Habitual but I appreciate it for the art. The Electric Lady had some amazing songs, hopefully I'll grow to love the second half a bit more.
The Electric Lady is such an ambitious work! It never topped ArchAndroid for me but damn her collaborators on that album, and the musical guests are just SPOT ON PERFECT!
This was my #1 for a long time, but well things have changed. I still like this, A$AP has a really unique flow (and you can kinda tell he's influenced some lessers on the radio), and the album has a more dark sound that's popular in Hip-Hop. Granted it's nothing extremely original, it's probably one of the best of its kind. The singles are all bangers, the non singles are all worth listening to, and the collaborations are not unnecessary.
