I'll get this out of my system right hurr: IDOL TALK
After last week with Idol Gives Back, I'm considering American Idol as a show to be this generation's American Bandstand. (Mainly when it comes to its popularity) The show will not die out on me, it's a permanent fixture in my weekly TV-watching routine. And it will likely still be once I get cable/satillite-TV.
This season is already better than last season. And by the looks of it, I already see 4/6 final contestants getting recording contracts within 5 months after they finish the Idol tour. (Melinda, Jordin, Blake, and Phil. Lakisha will eventually get one and Chris will get one, but I see him getting/doing something else instead.)
And I'll repeaté, I loved last night's show.
Bon Jovi = Awesome, one of the greatest + biggest American Bands of our time. I was expecting last night to be regarding Rock music in general. When they annnounced that it was strictly Bon Jovi tracks, I got even more excited.

WOO-HOO!
Your final 4:
Lakisha, Melinda, Jordin, and Blake!
..I think it's a pretty good final 4! We're going to actually have a winner based on talent this year! Plus that Bon Jovi performance last night = Not bad at all. Kinda dull, but still good.
Although in greatest intention, Last night, I thought Ruben Studdard + Taylor Hicks's PSAs to donate money to Idol Gives back was hilarious. They would've been just fine with Fantasia.
Finally, Robin Thicke: WTF?! Elliot Yamin is not that busy! Call the man up, and leave "this" alone.
I'm not even exaggerating, I felt the small urge to vomit during Thicke's performance last night. Not being a hater, that was ugly, especially for the first minute before switching over to something else. Now let's be' haten... With a little courtesy of votefortheworst.com, things that sound louder than Robin Thicke:
-Janet Jackson
-Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls
-A Voice of reason in a Popfusion Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera argument.

See, this is how desperate VFTW is getting. (Yet I still go over there for the 'humor' of it all. *Evil LOL*) Of course I still think of her as being the worst out of the 4, but she really shouldn't be a target of this site. Despite a few moments where I thought she was overrated, Lakisha actually sings and has shown the right kind of actual talent. (See Stormy Weather, and the 2nd half of If this ain't a love song performance... and a couple others.)
BTW I see Melinda, Blake, or her going next week. (Melinda and Lakisha more so than Blake) I have a hunch Jordin is going to do something big for the final 4.
