LOL...Bionic is one of her best albums. I love Lotus and B2B (this, I guess, mostly do as well). Ppl may kill me, but i think these 3 albums are better than Stripped and Christina Aguilera.
That they did shot in the direction of Xtina is common knowledge. But the industry look now at Perez and then decide no we don't play this artist because Perez don't like him?
No
I tell you what happened.
When Xtina did bring out her first video, I looked at it and first thought of me was this sounds and looks like Gaga and at this time I didn't follow music blogs.
Board member missy has a good educational post on this very topic that pertains to you.

Instead of just blindly repeating things you've heard elsewhere, maybe you should do some research. It's highly ironic that so many Gaga fans are still "omg NMT copied BM" and simultaneously rant about how Gaga doesn't copy Madonna. Because NMT is almost a scene by scene copy of three Madonna videos: Human Nature, Express Yourself and Like a Prayer. It just proves that most Gaga stans (who still preach about Christina "copying" Gaga) are young and don't really know their pop video culture. You're so desperate to attempt to certify Gaga's uniqueness that you don't see the blind facts laid out infront of you.
The public thought NMT was a copy of BM right when it came out because of the white background and Carerra sunglasses product placement. Immediately prior to that year, the trend wasn't over the top music videos. So when NMT came out with an over the top music video with a white background, we have to keep in mind that a lot of people won't truly analyze what they're seeing and just generalize down to the lowest common factor (this also happened when their hair was blonde with bangs - simpletons cannot digest too much information at once).
Here is SOME of the scenes that are directly ripped from Madonna videos. Directly. Note that this isn't GAGA, it's MADONNA.
The *only* scenes that are similar to Gaga's are the sunglasses scene - which is a PRODUCT PLACEMENT BY CARERRA, so they probably requested the angle of the shot so you can see the name. They are the highest bidders, so that's not copying, that's business. And then you could almost argue that the scene where she's wearing white and has a fire in the back is a copy - but if we're going to use "fire" "white" as grounds for copying, then yes the artpop cover with the "round glasses" and "technologic theme" along with whispers of "andy worhol" every two seconds would definitely merit some attention. Lets keep in mind, this is supposed to be the most inspired pop girl out there right now - there is absolutely zero reason for her to touch ideas that other people have done in recent memory when there are billions upon billions of other ideas she could play with. Unless she just can't think of anything else.
And Christina 2004 Ellen Von Unwerth shoot - to prove that Christina was already doing the weird, over-the-top looks.
To be honest though, there isn't any other flop album that's as talked about as Bionic, and the fact that it rhymes with "iconic" makes it even more so.
I honestly don't think he has a big enough following to get this campaign off the ground - not only is it going to to fail, but it's going to bring down whatever credibility he has left.
