They're releasing the lead single and album on the exact same weeks Taylor released WANEGBT and Red. I don't think it's coincidence either. She has a flawless release schedule that she's used to enormous success many times now.
Yup! Her release schedule is amazing, no surprise Capitol is following it.
It'll be tough, but if Gaga is selling 200-225k, then Blurred lines probably will too (if not less). Unless Billboard is predicting Applause to free fall this weekend.
Blurred Lines will be selling more than Applause though. For one, it had a day longer. Second of all, it's about to pass her.
Guys, Applause was just a promo single stop doing so much
In all seriousness, I think we're in for some good numbers in the next couple of weeks for Gaga. I'm actually happy that she didn't debut big right from the start. Gives possible room for growth.
It's no surprise that the Born This Way era did its deed. My personal final prediction is 450-500K for Roar and 200-300K for Applause.
I think Gaga needed this, honestly. A single that isn't front-loaded for once will be good for her. Katy's also going to continue doing well with her VMA performance.
Oh you think Gaga needed this, honestly? I don't think you thought the same before Applause bombed. And NOW you say it's no surprise that the Born This Way era did its deed?
Remember the other thread?
