Did his second album flop? I though he only had one album tbh.
Compared to his debut, it flopped.
However, given that his lead single only sold around 500K copies in the US and his second album debuted with ~40,000 and sold a total of around ~140K in the US, it wasn't too bad. The album did have some legs.
Probably his label fight with 19Entertainment caused his singles and album to not be promoted properly.

I'm excited for the re-release. It's selling well on Amazon Japan as well, so it should debut nicely . I heard Japan Hot 100 incorporates CD sales or something as well? Not sure though. If it does, I hope GGG gets a big jump on Japan Hot 100.
"Gone, Gone, Gone" dropped down from #24 to #72.
It rises back from #72 to #38 this week.
His album officially debuts in Japan on the weekly Oricon albums chart, placing just outside the Top 50 at #51. Not bad. It only will do better next era I hope.

No one knows for sure yet, but he did sign with Mick Management a few months ago. Some other well-known bands/musicians on that management is WALK THE MOON, Of Monsters and Men, Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, etc.
He is making new music at the moment, so I guess we'll see when he releases his first song.
