Hello gang. This is Roger's Weekly Top 30 for the charting period of November 2nd - November 8th, 2007.
This is probably the tightest the top 5 has ever been. I literally just decided right now how it was going to look - and it was a pretty difficult decision, won't lie! But with this many great songs occupying the top 5, it's to be expected.
Timbaland is able to snag his second consecutive #1 off
Shock Value, sending last week's surprise #1
Paramore tumbling down to #5. Hot on Timba's heels are the powerful duo of
Kanye West and newly top 5
Linkin Park.
Graduation is in the running for my favorite album of 2007, while
Shadow Of The Day is by far LP's best single to date. The race will be tight in the weeks to come!
Outside the top 5, it's all about
Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse, as
Valerie continues to move at a quick pace and is nearing top 5 status.
Rihanna loses her bullet, but not to fear as another track of hers debuts this week, and
Arctic Monkeys are having difficulties taking
Teddy Picker to the pinnacle heights I had originally anticipated for it.
Outside of the top 10, a lot of the movers are starting to see their gains slow significantly.
The Hives,
Feist, and
The Wombats are all beginning to slow down but still see good chart movement due to being in a slower part of the chart, while
Alicia Keys,
The Killers, and
James Blunt still look good.
Three debuts this week! Top debut goes to the brilliant fusion of
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, whose
Raising Sand album is a genuine treat. The next two debuts are somewhat "late", but I've finally gotten into these pop gems. The first comes from
Colbie Caillat, with the pleasant
Bubbly, and the next comes from
Rihanna, whose
Don't Stop The Music sets the clubs on fire anytime it's played.
RECOMMENDED SONG OF THE WEEK:
Foo Fighters - Long Road To Ruin
