No hype, a damn Thursday, and DNC.
But yeah, let's shade Katy and Rihanna like we always do.

Lady GaGa Thanksgiving Special - 5.5 m
Beyonce I Am Yours Thanksgiving Special - 5.1 m
Not Bey & Gaga pulling just about 1 million less than VMAs, and they did it on their own...

Child, Beyonce rubbing the tummy was a surprise. No one knew about it. That didn't bring in numbers. It brought silly gifs, fake pregnancy rumors and gossip of how gimmicky her stunt was to sell her records.

that's untrue. it was annouced on the red carpet that she was pregnant, she showed off a baby bump and then twitter was on fire.Beyonce's pregnancy garnered the most retweet per second ... all before the show started. Besides in their official statement, the only person MTV thanked for the top ratings was Beyonce

2009 had the MJ tribute, Beyonce and Gaga.
2010 had Eminem, Bieber and Gaga.
2011 had Beyonce, Britney and Gaga
2012 had Rihanna, Katy and Lil Wayne....just not on the same level, no shade.

GaGa was a fad just as Adele was one this past year. That's why she drew in son many views. It was early in her career and people was excited by her. But now, her star power has only decreased. She not only put forth music that didn't gel well with the general public but she segregated a good chunk of her audience by turning into a spokesperson for the entire gay population. There's only so much she can do before extorting the gays stop being lucrative.

Where else did you think people were going to be on thanksgiving? They plopped their stuffed asses down in front of the television and turned on the television to the only thing that wasn't a repeat on that day which happened to be the specials. They probably turned to the channel and fell asleep, seeing as how they were in a food coma full of tryptophan.

Next year they need to try to bring in ADELE, Beyonce, Gaga, Britney, Madonna (just her and Gaga in the same room will set tongues wagging), Bieber, Taylor, 1D.

Promotion was everywhere for the VMA's. They showed Pink and Kevin Hart commercials with Taylor Swift, Green Day, and Kim/Kanye on almost every channel. The performers list wasn't interesting. How many awards did they give out in 2 hours? only like 6? Thursday is nothing new, it always was on Thursday's and Obama didn't talk until about 10:20pm.
People didn't turn in because no exciting performer.
The same artists were nominated in every category. The first performer suppose to get the show hyped up.
Last Year there was Bruno, Britney tribute, Jay-Z/Kanye, Beyonce, Adele, Lady Gaga.
This year should of been Brandy, Ciara, Usher, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5.
Next year: Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Britney, Kanye, Usher, Ciara, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Mariah, who ever else that will release late 2012/ early 2013.

I just finished watching the show. Now I'm gonna ****ing RANT. Let me RANT. What a load of ****ing **** MTV? Did you seriously think that you could churn out this **** and get away with it? You couldn't even get one member of the trinity to attend to MOP UP this pathetic ass MESS. The performances were ****, the winners were ****, the host was ****. And I've watched and hailed this show for 18 years!!!
I'm just gonna say thanks to Frank Ocean for putting me out of my misery for five ****ing minutes.
