Not necessarily. It can take a couple swings of the axe to get the job done.
I think about dilemma's like these all the time, soo interesting to me, lol. I'd choose hanging. If I fall with enough strength to break my neck instantly, at least.
Both of them could take some time, or be instant. You could instantly break your neck or have to choke for a few seconds. Your head could be clean chopped off, or it could take a few swings, well you suffer some pain.
I'd choose head chopped off. Hopefully, he has packs a good swing.
