As far as I can tell her album has only been released in Oz and New Zealand (so basically her home country and its very near neighbour) but actually managed to peak lower than BTD in both countries. And her album was released many months before BTD in those 2 countries so it's hardly surprising it's sold (slightly!) more, is it? I believe 'Vows' is released in the US on Tuesday. Are you predicting a top 2 result on the BB200, like BTD experienced?
3. Her album has attracted just FOUR metacritic-qualifying reviews whereas BTD has attracted THIRTY EIGHT. Let's re-visit this one when the number of reviews are more in line with each other (if Kimbra's album actually manages anywhere near 38, that is)
4. Co-produces. There's a very big difference.
5. Lana wholly wrote NINE songs on her 2010 Lizzy Grant album.
