I really really LOVE it.
I bought it this morning and I have listened to it at office with lots of people and everybody liked it; even more if they were young and not familiar with Maroon 5 (they had no preconcept I suppose).
I won't be around a pc for the weekend and I guess I will post a complete review by Monday...
But I can already say that I am ALSO addicted to Sad.
That song tears my whole soul out and apart, it's amazing.
I don't have a "dislike", I have many solid "likes" and a bunch of "awe pop feeling songs".
I won't compare Overexposed with their other works because for me each album had its mark as of sound, and so to compare differencies that marked up (especially this time around) would be pointless.
Overall, as far as "contemporary pop" goes, this album deserves a very good mark in my book.
It does at first appear as some sort of "Adam Levine's " record rather than Maroon 5's, but after a couple of listening that impression faded away from me.
It's just another side of that beautifully poliedric band called Maroon 5.
The "Pure Pop" face
Catch you on Monday with a proper review
