I feel like this album was extremely rushed to capitalize off the success of PF as well. Female pop stars release albums at such a fast rate these days (with a few exceptions of course). Even the way the era is executed shows that Nicki wants to be a pop star or just here for the money & fame.

This is how I feel:

Roman Reloaded seems to be the result of no one being brave enough to tell Minaj enough is enough. By doubling down on her cartoonish elements, she’s lost all remnants of lyrical ingenuity she around the time “Monster” first leaked, let alone her various mixtapes.

I wish Nicki would go back to doing Nicki and stop doing these characters, or keep them to a nice limit.

It's not that this album isn't terrible, it's just safe. I really like a lot of the songs, but I have to admit that Nicki never went "hard" on the album. Her verses in "Monster", "Roman's Revenge", and "Did It On Em" shows that she the potential. Even the urban/rap songs were safe. Although, I do like this pretty much equal to "Pink Friday" in terms of quality, but she just stays in the same place she was before. She doesn't move forward.

I don't mind her appealing to pop and rap audiences, but she needs to take both genres on another level, not the obvious one.
