I think Demi should go back to Pop/Rock. Don't Forget, Here We Go Again, Got Dynamite and many others are flawless.
She should ditch this mainstream genre, anyone else notice that Unbroken's best tracks are the ones that are less mainstream?
People are quick to place HWGA under Pop/Rock its a soulful album aswell and she does that really well. But I agree about the mainstream thing....it doesn't suit her nearly aswell.
I'll cling to my fav having a Top Ten hit in a flop era, and selling 350k+ with an extreme amount of backlash from the media. Miley pushed the boundaries, and she suffered, but nonetheless she took a risk. When will Demi? Oh wait, Demi did try to be the ****ty girl, but nobody cared to pay attention. oop
My fave had a top 10 hit too, and her lead single flopped on radio because it was a ballad in summer but yet it sold more than your fave's lead single which reached top 15 on radio.
do we need to mention how she perfomed on the EMA's and still flopped in europe? or on british got talent? she got MASSIVE promo for her single and couldn't even reach platinum.....
K&T was a mish mash of genres, Naturally smashed and her next albums went in the same direction....you are very naive if you think she "found a style" because she didn't she jumped on a style of music that guaranteed her more $$$$$$$ which is a smart move but shows she's more business woman than she is musician. In terms of being a musician Demi>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Selena
In terms of being a high selling musician
Selena>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Demi.
Come back at me when Selena co-writes an entire album and plays any instruments on tour. I love some of Selena's songs but she was in music for the $$$$ her real strength is acting and I for one am glad she's focusing on it.
But there's nothing wrong with going with what works. Obviously Selena has greater success with songs like Naturally so she wanted to go in the direction. It's a smart idea to me.
Kiss & Tell had no clear genre, like you said it was a mix of everything, after seeing the success of Naturally, imo it would be stupid if she did songs like "Crush" that do not work for her.
I already brought up of my favs and defended them. But it is cute how you all get scared when we brought up all the promo Unbroken had and you revert back to vocals as if it never happened.
If you're saying Demi's Unbroken promotion beats the promotion Britney's FF had or Miley's CBT had you are delusional. Britney alone has done more promo shows than Demi and all three artists have had Twitter promotion, EVERYONE gets twitter promotion.

When I said HWGA I meant the song not album, the song HWGA is pop/rock and that song was flawless.
I like Demi's more soulful tracks too, but Pop/Rock is where she shines the most, to me.

yeah CLING to that
Do we need to mention how the image is what mainly hurt Miley? If Miley had been the cute little girl she was from PITUSA, you KNOW the album would have shipped 1m+ in America, and 2m+ WW. Don't even try. And your fav BARELy got a Top Ten hit. If it weren't for her sad little sob story over rehab, then she wouldn't have snuck that in. oop And 1.5m+ was sold WW for CBT, but of course you being the only person on the face of the internet that doesn't believe that will say "IT CAME FROM OCEANUP!!!111!!" No duh, they reported it, but it came from MileyCyrus.bz

I'm not saying there is, like I said she was smart in going in that direction. But Soma thinks had each album after K&T been of the same standard and same genres that Selena would still have sold that much, Irlando you have to admit that aint true,
