The New York Times has consistently bashed GoT in their reviews. If I remember correctly in the first season they had a female reviewer completely trash the show because she didn't like fantasy and thought it too tedious.
Yeah I just looked at the previous seasons. Each NYT review is a 40. So this is a step up, actually. They're giving bad reviews just because they want to though. This year they went on and on about how it's NOT the best show on television and that it's immensely overrated. It's like their reviewers belong on ATRL.

OMG. I can't ****ing wait any longer. I'm reading book 3 just to calm my nerves, it's so good so far. I'm on page 281. Any info on episode 1 and which chapters of the book will it contain?
