She didn't suddenly appear. Her version was the reason it went #1, so her name appeared as long as her version benefited it. Which was only about two weeks. It counted though, as does Nicki/Ke$ha having "TTWE" count as a top three in their catalogs.
For those saying Nicki/Ke$ha weren't credited: http://www.billboard.com/news/katy-p...ate=2011-05-14 The rule is for the newer version of a song to account for more than half(?) of it's overall chart tally, which the remix was 68%.
