It doesn't matter whether Katy wanted this or not. Even if it reaches #1, it was through shady discount tactics and chart manipulation, unlike Michael's acheivements. The industry will never equate her #1's to Michaels which he acheived fairly. So it really doesn't mean **** if she literally breaks his record anyway. She's only had 3 real #1's. The public won't know the difference, but the music industry will - and therefore it will damage her credibility. I love Katy, but in all honesty this is not cool with me.

Cause she doesn't deserve it. It's her attempt to make her "memorable" through a record, even though she hasn't earned it strictly through promoting her song and letting radio and iTunes work its magic. And The One That Got Away remains at $0.69 on iTunes after weeks and has yet to crack the top 3 on the Hot 100 as well as a ton of promotion. It fairly made it to #4 and honestly had potential to ride the wave to the top legitimately since it was holding well. But no, she had to cheat her way through as usual. In my eyes, she has 4 #1s, a #2, and a #4, and that's just the way it is.




And I'm getting annoying? Really? Coming from someone not adding anything to the conversation either but just saying that Katy gets us all heated, not even able to defend her cause you know that it's BS she's doing this.
