She looked sad in the video, so this is no surprise. I wonder if she didn't like the original concept and got rid of everyone/everything and only called Clarence to make the vid.
It astonishes me how she manages to ruin song's brightness. Alejandro, Born This Way & The Edge Of Glory deserved more colorful, brighter, happier videos. I don't know why she keeps contradicting her songs messages with her videos. Since Telephone, she's been screwing her videography. I LOVE 'The Edge Of Glory' to death, don't get me wrong, I just didn't enjoy the video. I could tolerate Alejandro's weirdness, Born This Way's weirdness, Judas delusion, because at least they were 'artistic' in some way, but I'm extremely disappointed with this video.
It worries me a little, since both Born This Way, album and single, had impressive opening week sales, but Born This Way(single) stalled at 2,6M if I'm not mistaken, and Born This Way(album) had impressive opening numbers, but if she continues to sabotage her best Era, she'll end up selling 4M by the end of the year, while being able to sell tons more by exploiting The Edge Of Glory, Marry The Night and other single releases from this amazing pop record.
You've been thinking that since Bad Romance. No credit.
Since Telephone, but it didn't really hit me until Alejandro. Alejandro was when I actually posted something about her potential upcoming downward spiral. Never during BR - did you even know me then?
The fact that she still has support is all b/c of the goodwill she accumulated through the 4 TF singles & BR. She has now killed off all that goodwill.

No, I liked the demo. I listened to it on loop. The final version threw me off, like most people. The fantastic video made the song pop for me - and for the public.

How would you know my reaction to the demo?
You made a post about your reaction (including that quote above) and how you couldn't buy it as a hit pop song until after awhile when you realized people loved it. I guess it was the final (more radio-friendly) version, then.
It captures the essence of the song: celebration of life. I think we all would have appreciated a flashy video full of mermaids, choreography, etc. but that would have gone against the grain of the song. You can tell she really enjoyed shooting this video and that she knew this kind of video was right for the song. I know this video meant a lot to many of you, but it meant that much more to Gaga. However, there are still some unforgivable camera angles that could have been shot much better.
In the end, Gaga continues to shock us even when we think we can't be shocked anymore.
Atleast she's not afraid to release something risky and simple
I love it, she can be over the top, simple, beautiful, sexy, ugly, creepy and epic
Gaga can be anything
So much hyprocrisy. I bet half of the people who said the Judas video was too complex and controversial are going to be the first to say this video is too basic, boring & safe.
This is exactly what she needed to release as a video. Her first simple video since... I can't even remember. LoveGame?
