I'm not trusting the GaGa predictions. Remember "Bad Romance" was supposed to be nominated for ROTY and SOTY.
And Beyonce... we know she's winning like 8 Grammys this year.

Gaga will be nominated at the very least so she can perform and bring in ratings. And if BTW is phenomenal, AOTY isn't out of the question.

So, realistically, how many nominations can Adele get?
I say, unless they add a few more categories to the Pop field, five is her maximum.

If the pop genre is loyal to her also, maybe she can get enough votes to overcome Speak Now and the country genre's block-voting.

She's not a Hip Hop or R&B artist, so about that. Maybe 6 at the most.

For a pop album to win it has to be MASSIVE to the point of being undeniable. The last time a pop album won AOTY? Celine Dion's Falling Into You, back in 1997. BTW has to be exceptional for Gaga to have a shot, just being good won't cut it.

Oh and Gaga's also friendly with Bono, a Grammy God. Elton, Bruce, Liza, Paul, Bono, Billie Joe... Get these people to hype/promote you to their industry friends Gaga

I just hope Adele keeps her momentum throughout the year. I've seen too many cases where artists lose buzz when it matter most.
She is the type of artist the voters love picking in ROTY and SOTY, but she needs to remain consistent.
I hope Kanye gets into AOTY. This year will be a funny one for some reason. Thank goodness Black Eyed Peas aren't in the running.

If U2 is in the house, yall can hang up AOTY for any popstar. Beyonce has time so im good on AOTY right now, since Kanye and Adele have really impressed me. I want to hear the music first before I decide if she deserves AOTY, I want Pop Vocal Album and Long Form Video though for sure. The I Am...Tour is eligible and her new album will have the R&B Awards on lock if she submits, this will be a hard year but im not scared.

No. They had a chance to do that this year but they didn't. But then again, who knows?
Nicki Minaj
Tinie Tempah
Wiz Khalifa
J. Cole (TBD)
Big Sean (TBD)
Besides Lauryn Hill, a female rapper has never been nominated. I woudn't be surprised if Nicki gets the boot, especially if someone like Tinie Tempah takes off. Wiz doesn't seem like the type to be recognized. Chamillionaire teas down.

Neneh Cherry says hi.
And speaking of, Neneh and either Tone Loc or Young MC were both nominated in BNA one year - can Nicki and Wiz do it again?

I dont think Tinie Tempah has enough time before the eligibility cutoff to garner enough interest for a best new artist nomination, but who knows.

LOL! I try to forget about that year since that phony duo "won."
Arrested Development and Kris Kross were nominated in the same year but that was before the Blue Ribbon Panel. I'm not betting on either one of them, tbh. They don't give me Diddy, Kanye or Drake, and 50 Cent got in because he had the best selling album of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if no rappers were nominated this year. It seems that they nominate rappers every so often.

They are like 6 or 7 months left in eligibility. He still has enough time. I think his international success is giving him buzz here.

Wait, are we taking Wiz Khalifa seriously now? I mean, I love "Black and Yellow," but...

I'm sure Nicki will get in. At this point, she is of that "too big to ignore" variety.

Best New Artist, as of now, is kind of barren.
Three safe bets:
Nicki
The Band Perry
Jessie J (ugh)
Who else? Wiz makes just as much sense as Tinie, or Rumer, or Ellie.
Speaking of - keep an eye on Rumer guys. Her buzz is already starting; I have a feeling if her cards are played right, she might be a Norah-like sensation.
