Silly comparison.
You stans were hyping her up like she was gonna own the year. The little monsters are just giving you a much needed reality check.

Ray Of Light (1998) sold 18 million copies. Baby One More Time.. has shipped close to 28 million copies.
Music (2000) sold 14 million copies. Oops!.... I Did It Again has shipped over 22 million copies.
That said, Britney was selling 10 more million copies than Madonna.
Circus has shipped 4 million copies. How many more millions did The Fame sell? 3? 4? 5? Don't include The Fame Monster because that's like another album, and even if you do, it won't sell more than 10 million copies over Circus.
Plus, Circus is Britney's 2nd least selling album with dead promo.

And in this case who's the mediocre one? You're not gonna tell me certain Express Yourself Part II track is the epitome of effort. If you do.. well.. there goes half of my respect towards you.

I agree when it comes to most of the album cuts on Circus. This new album has to be a lot more than that. I'm not here for the fluff.

What would happen if they released on the same week?

Definetly. If they both started at the same time, then Brit would outshine her.

I never said Madonna was outselling Britney, I said she was selling similar amounts. Ray of Light = 20m, BOMT = 25m. Music = 15m, Oops = 20m. Alright, similar is a stretch but Brit was never beating her by 10 million. These were Madge's 7th and 8th albums, mind.
The point was Madonna was still at the forefront of pop during Britney's peak (almost 20 years into her career), and Britney can't even compete with P!nk these days, let alone the current queen.
Since you don't think it's fair to combine TF and TF Monster, I'll even the odds. TF/Monster have together sold 15 million copies and still selling. Circus and Blackout combined only sold 7 million (being generous) and are no longer selling. That's more than double. So yeah, Gaga's beating Britney harder than Britney was beating Madonna.

No. Britney Spears is the queen of pop, the only reason GaGa is breaking Britney records is thanks to promotion. That's all

Now that's what you call a STRETCH. There is no way TF/TFM sold 15M. Shipped prolly but that's still a stretch and I think it's totally unfair to compare it to Circus and Blackout that almost had zero promotion. Gaga was everywhere promoting her album while Brit is sitting on her couch and taking care of her two boys.

15 million? The Fame Monster combined sold 13 million. Circus and Blackout sold 7 million copies. That's 6 extra million for GaGa, about the same distance Britney had on Madonna.
I know you're sick of this but I'm going to bring it up anyways because it IS a fact. Britney promoted both Circus and Blackout in about 7 stages (5 of them being irrelevant local shows) meanwhile Lady GaGa has been on about 50 stages whoring Poker Face, Bad Romance, Paparazzi and the rest. Had Britney done the same her figures will be very close to GaGa's, not more though. But she didn't. That, though, doesn't discredit her success.

Gaga is already outshining Britney. Where is Britney? Where is her promo? HIAM is falling. "Born This Way" is at the top and getting major promo. Of course Gaga will outshine Britney. It's not even a question.

You used shipped numbers so why can't I? The Fame/Monster is 6X platinum on MediaTraffic which means 12-14 million sales, plus a few million for The Fame Monster EP.
And while she may be beating Britney by the same raw number, it's a much larger percentage. Like 100% compared to 25%.
