Someone is mad because he is the actual talentless zombie with no real use left so he projects his own insecurities onto Britney to make himself feel better. Poor that. Maybe he should get a hobby. Perhaps knitting?

And most of all WHO THEE FAWCK ARE YEW to tell her to sit down when she is still doing what she loves to this very day? Stans like you INFURIATE me.
SIT DOWNE BEFORE YOU ARE SCALPED, BOILED AND FED TO ADELE!!!
I'm sorry, but this comment puzzles me. Her trend hopping always pays off? Other than Femme Fatale, what era of hers can even be argued as "trend hopping"? For the majority of her career, she set the ****ing trends. Before the breakdown, she was the definition of American pop music.
Britney is very innovative, however she does hop on trends to maintain her relevancy.
She left the bubble-gum bandwagon and released more urban infused music which was prevalent during the early-mid 2000s. While it was a new and fresh sound for a white pop chick, everybody and their momma was working with the Neptunes then.
Britney jumps from trend to trend, however, she does manage to craft something that is fairly original within that.
a) Some of her fans refuse to see the change in her over the years and are desperatley holding on to the year 2001.
b) We grew up with her, Britney has one of the most familiar faces in the world for our generation, we loved her, we cried with her, we all held our breath when she had her meltdown. We know she isn't as good as she once was but things have changed for her, she has a family and she has obviously grown hard towards the media which is understandable. But it doesn't change the fact that she was a huge part of our childhood and we just don't want to see her fail. We still buy the records, we still want to breathe the same air. Our expectations are not as high but our love still is.
She's absolutly beautiful.
Her voice is unique.
She puts out fantastic music.
Her live shows are enjoyable.
She has greated a massive & well deserved fanbase.

She built a fanbase that obviously doesn't care if she isn't a perfect artist. No matter if her albums stop selling, her fans will be buying tickets to see her, and as long as she has that, her career is not coming to an end...and haters will deal.

Britney has just always been a figure that has truly represented the stereotypical idea of what people perceive a pop star to be. She is a definer of pop culture. Is she the most talented, most beautiful or most credible artist? Not quite. However, it is what she has always stood for which makes her still very relevant today!

She has loyal fans, people who still believe in her, and that's what matters. I'm glad she's still around... I love her...
Anyway, she's relevant because of her music, what other answer can i give you? That and her legacy is keeping her relevant, if a new artist performed like britney did in those promo performances, let's face it, noone would really want to buy their music or support them. I HATE the fact that she said that she doesn't have anything to prove. When she really does. I lalready explained why in the FF thread when she said it, anyone who disagrees is delusional. She's become kind of a joke this era to the general public and even to some of her peers, i mean lip syncing ttwe at the bmas and those promo performances were terrible. (i cant believe some stans are still trying to tell me otherwise)
IMO she performs pretty good on tour, but because her ass doesn't want to get up a promote/perform like artists are supposed to all they'll remember is her looking like a bloated mess at gma and jimmy kimmel.
And i KNOW she can dance better than what she's doing now on tour. All the she's 30 now, she broke her knee and she's a mother now excuses are ridiculous and i'm not here for them. We saw what she did in those two leaked rehearsals AFTER her breakdown, AFTER she broke her knee and AFTER she became a mother. She's just not determined enough, and it's frustrating sometimes.
However, i will say though that whether she's stiff or not she always puts on a good show, and you can tell she generally does love performing for her fans.

Why Britney Remains & Will Always Be Relevant:
1. The world has grown up with her. We've seen her evolve, change, mature, make mistakes, find love, lose love... It's the way Disney attempts to market all their recent stars, but fails at. That kind of "13 year bond" with people cannot be payed for or forged in a studio, it is developed through a constant presence throughout someone's life.
2. Her Personality. Humbleness & respect will take you far in this business - & that is something Britney is known for within the industry. She was that little, naive, sweet southern girl.
But admittedly, the public now have this false impression of who Britney is as a person, & it's largely due to the type of music she puts out. She was known for her organic & relatable qualities, but after her breakdown those qualities where wiped from the public's mind. If she had come out with something more personal than "Gimme More" or actually faced her problems & expressed them through music (a la Everytime), as opposed to putting out sex-crazed tracks, she would be a lot more respected today. And the sad thing is, she did attempt to, through Original Doll & many Blackout era Demo's - but her label did all they could to crush those projects. Now she's largely known as cold, robotic & talentless, maybe they should let her grow up. Her music no longer feels genuine. She doesn't party, She doesn't drink. She doesn't "call the shots" or run anything. Quite the opposite.
4. Her mental state / conservatorship. People are invested in knowing what's going on with her. She seems to be shrouded in mystery.
3. People root for the underdog. Her breakdown actually helped keep her relevant. Americans love a tragedy story. They enjoy building people up, only to watch them fall. It's sick, but it's what the world is like. The "comeback" & "For The Record" inspired people & helped restore some of that sympathy. The entire Circus era was riding on the Sympathy wave, "Root for the underdog" wave. Without that personal connection or backing from the fans or the public, nobody would have given Britney's performances a second glance.
4. Her music keeps her relevant, the fact that she works with top-notch producers.
5. Her PAST. In a nutshell, Britney is still relevant because of her past achievements. See: MTV Video Vanguard Award.
6. The constant Media reports on her. Motherhood kept her relevant... We all know what sort of women buy those cheap-ass tabloids wanting to tear down someone's parenting skills in order to feel better about their own.
She remains relevant because anything she does, crap or not, is sensationalized by both fans and the media.
7. Her loyal, dedicated, crazy fan-base.
8. It's Britney bitch.
What did NOT help to keep Britney relevant:
Her performances post-08. The VMA's 2007 was her final truly "iconic" performance. She's been riding that wave ever since.
Britney is very innovative, however she does hop on trends to maintain her relevancy.
She left the bubble-gum bandwagon and released more urban infused music which was prevalent during the early-mid 2000s. While it was a new and fresh sound for a white pop chick, everybody and their momma was working with the Neptunes then.

bubblegum bandwagon? u do know that during the 90s there was a HUGE pop backlash and like mariah carey Britney basically helped bring pop music back to the forefront. As for her leaving her earlier sounds its called maturing. She wasn't going to sing songs like baby one more time and sometimes in her 20s. can you tell me who was singing songs like in the zone and toxic in 2003?
Also who did britney follow with her blackout album? if anything pop was in a state of Limbo in 2004-2006 without britney. Once blackout came out we saw a re-emergence of dance pop.

Britney did not fully dive into the "Urban trend" when following the wave of urban infused sounds. The "Britney" era was the first album she experimented with a few songs being of urban influence, the album was released in 2001. Hip Hop & R&B began to pickup in the US the same time or after she released the Britney album. 2002-2006 was as urban as the Billboard charts got. Once again, she was ahead of the curve.
When she released In The Zone, the sounds on that album was a mixture of Pop, reggae, urban, Adult Contemporary, and so on. She released an album full of different sounds in a time where Hip Hop and R&B dominated the radio and billboard charts. Toxic was one of the few genuine Pop songs to spark interest across formats and praised by several critics.
I don't think we have to mention how Blackout along with Loose and FS/LS kickstarted a new age in Pop. Rihanna was the first new artist to help those three resurrect Pop by releasing GGGB and then Gaga came with The Fame to further help the efforts.
Britney has never conformed to what's in at the moment until Femme Fatale. Circus was just a a generic album with few standouts on it that were reflective of pop albums from earlier in the decade.
I think "Rawr" pretty much summed up the question to this thread and they explained it in a less "attention seeking" way.
Lady GaGa: "I'm not gonna waste your time watching some bitch lip-sync! Britney Stans: "She's talking about Britney!!!"
will.i.am: "It's so dumb when people tweet for other people. Britney Stans: "He's talking about Britney!!!"
Someone:She is just pure **** and so stiff. Britney Stans: "They're talking about Britney!!!"
It's sad when Britney stans think their own favorite is talent-less. Another artist or person has a vague reference to SOMEONE (more than likely, NOT Britney related)...and they automatically think it's Britney related because they equate her with "talentless"
