"Future to Prove"
I wasn't planning to take the future concept so literally, but that just flowed our of my head. However, I ended up being really happy with the result.
The song does not describe the future in detail on purpose, because the future has not happened yet. It's about learning from the past & moving forward. You may not know what your future will be like in the present, but you have a feeling it will be better. This type of thinking is basically how I got through high school.
Also ADEM! "we got nothin to do with... the way we been losin". In a song, it'd sound like they go together.
So the point of the song is: learn from the past, but don't let it burden you. "We got nothin to do with the way we been losin". You can keep it as a memory & let it help you grow, but it doesn't have to haunt you.

Made a good start so far. Two verses, pre-hook and the chorus done. I already think it's a huge improvement.

This challenge was the lowest place I received last season, I got like 5th or 6th
The song I wrote for it is still one of my favorite songs I've written though.

I'm scared the judges will be like, "Can't you write about any other topic?" Write what you know, right? My life is filled with so much love, I think I'm gonna write a bunch of love songs in this competition. I hope we have a challenge that is more specific that forces me to write something else.
