Net worth doesn't equal money in the bank. Kesha, and most other artists huge net worth's come from the value of their music through writing credits, royalties deals, catalog sales etc.

legal fees are very expensive and this isn't the type of case that's probably going to end quick since she's battling a media juggernaught..so this was definitely very kind of Taylor. $250k is probably nothing to taylor, but i'm sure it's a lot to kesha who hasn't worked in years and probably hasn't earned much from royalties for a while.

i wonder how much it would cost for kesha to buy herself out of her contract if that was an option
