Masterpiece, poppier than Devotion but it's amazing. Her album covers really reflect the quality of the music

'The Way We Are' is just perfect. I find that I prefer listening to more uplifting, soulful music when I'm in a good place at the time, and currently I'm happy.

Its not perfect, could be better but for the time being the people in my life I care for the most are in a good place, and I'm thankful. I think this track just stands out for this reason. You know when you get so incredibly happy bc...life! That's what this song does, and her voice.

After sitting with this LP for a few days now, I'll say its comfortably my favourite album of the year. Stylistically, lyrically, production-wise it may not be the best overall but it makes me incredibly happy. Its very uplifting and i pray it receives the credit it ultimately deserves. Say You Love Me is very strong track, as is Champagne Kisses but every track has a place, giving it a more cohesive feel than Devotion (which really annoyed me).

Gave this a listen yesterday and I really liked it! Just like her debut it's very consistent, yet it feels a bit samey at times. I kinda think it's missing a few real standout songs like "Night Light", "Running" or "Wildest Moments". "Say You Love Me" comes close but it doesn't really manage to move me as much as a large share of Devotion did. I also feel "12" should have made the album, that song is so good.

Overall the album is pretty solid, and no way in hell is it a sophomore slump like I've seen some people call it.
