Pretty much. Also notice how Rihanna and Madonna can/could always flip flop between edgy, dark imagery/videos (LTWYL, LAP, WLF) and fun, pure-pop dance music (Only Girl, Material Girl, Hung up) whereas Gaga couldn't release a fun pop record straight after BTW.

All Of the Lights and Fly aren't her singles, but they've went Top 40 on the Hot 100, and CKB was a Top 40 song, too.
