"Cater 2 U" (2005) Destiny Fulfilled
Hot 100 Peak: #14
Overall score: 7.58 High score: 10 (3x)/Low score: 2 (1x)
In their final studio album single, a tinkling R&B ode to being in love, Destiny's Child promise to fulfill every wish their men desire. For a group whose biggest hit praises working women and single mothers for their independence, it's a surprisingly anti-feminist message. Nevertheless, many voters found its sultry percussion and seductive vocals irresistible, awarding it more 10's than almost any other song outside the top 20.
"Soldier" ft. T.I. and Lil Wayne (2004) Destiny Fulfilled
Hot 100 Peak: #3
Overall score: 7.65 High score: 9 (5x)/Low score: 5 (1x)
It says a lot about the group's lack of a true artistic identity that Destiny's Child could follow up a club banger like "Lose My Breath" with its most urban-leaning song ever in "Soldier." And it says a lot about Beyonce's drawing power that audiences embraced them with equal fervor, sending both songs to #3 on the Hot 100.

"Too Gone, Too Long" starts as a silky smooth slow jam, but by the end, it has built to a dramatic gospel ballad that feels like a sermon of independence for all the abandoned single ladies out there. Perhaps the sheer power of the vocals and orchestral composition helped make it the highest-ranking of En Vogue's late-career singles as a trio.
This is the video where they blow the windows out of the building, with their voices. It. Is. Awesome.
"Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg" (1992) Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip
Hot 100 Peak: #6
Overall score: 7.69 High score: 10 (1x)/Low score: 4 (1x)
TLC's debut single established the trio as a feisty, funny crew who weren't afraid to speak their minds. On this rollicking hip-hop track, they demand great sex, no matter what it takes to get it. "I want to be touched," Chilli sings on the bridge. "Everybody needs some good lovin'!" That's certainly one way to leave a memorable first impression.

So one of my favorites is clocked upon me first reading this? I can't.
Since I haven't been keeping up and fear the complete opposite is happening, I'm going to assume Salt n' Pepa are slaying the girls and start to follow it at the top 30.

See you in hell trash. I should have given it a zero.

The Pussycat Dolls' second single presented Nicole Scherzinger and her minions in a completely different light: as soft and sincere balladeers who'd rather stick by their men than try to steal yours. For a moment, they might have even had the world fooled (the song earned them a Grammy nomination!). "Stickwitu" is also the closest PCD ever came to truly capturing the R&B girl group spirit that these other four ensembles frequently operated by—which may explain its unexpectedly high placing in this rate.
I love how they put more focus on Tenitra (oh God, Jonathan has me calling her that) during the last era. She was the center of the album cover, the center of this single cover

And yet they never gave her more than a damn middle eight to sing solo. Like, really? I feel bad for her, because Matthew Knowles didn't even try to hide how little he valued her contributions.

Yeah, that's the one bad thing about this era. Their song structures became very, very predictable.

They became the American version of the Sugababes. Everyone who knows them knows that in versions 2.0 and 3.0, Heidi ALWAYS sang the middle eight. That was her thing.
Michelle was the American Heidi. No biggie!
And I LOVE that Jai Ho will be the second most popular PCD song. Justice served.

Despite losing core member Left Eye in a car accident the previous year, it seems that TLC still went out on the highest note among the groups playing in this rate. Voters ranked their last single, "Damaged"—an emotional pop ballad that stuns with its gorgeous bridge and surprisingly awesome mix of acoustic guitar and sitar—above all other final charting releases in contention.
