Yesterday is an AMAZING song.

But Poker Face has more plays on my iPod.

I know it's wrong, but I can't lie to myself.

What got me was the implication that people were voting for The Beatles because they were The Beatles, and not because of the song.

Because if that were the case, Hey Jude and Let It Be would still be here too.

My implication was that there's been a big anti-Gaga movement lately. Poker Face used to be one of the most beloved pop songs on this forum, but it didn't even make the Top 10 in the #1 singles rate and it's going out in Round 2 here.

If there was a true anti-Gaga movement, she would have lost to 50 Cent in the first round. And if this were really about Beatles snobbery, then no way would "Let It Be" have lost to "Umbrella" (yep, still a little bitter about that one). "Yesterday" is simply on another level; it's one of the most respected pop songs in music history. I love "Poker Face," but it's hard to compete with that.
