We're now officially presenting my 20 singles entries to ATRL Top 50 Singles of 2008
#13.
Natasha Bedingfield "Pocketful of Sunshine"
- A waaaaaaaayyy better song than "Love Like This". From the Japanese theme inspired beat, this song takes pop music to the next level. Even the title of song is unique as well as its music video. I'm really mad cause it's not getting any attention here in the Philippines but nevertheless it enters to my top 20 list at Number 13 This song wants people to be more optimistic; forget your problems and just think happy thoughts because in the end, thinking of bad thoughts will bear nothing. Very inspirational song from Natasha
"...Take me away... a secret place... a sweet escape... take me away ..."
#12.
David Archuleta "Crush"
- Landing at the Number 12 spot is David Archuleta with his first single "Crush". I've got to say this but he's done better than his contender with this single. Sometimes, it's just not the vocals that people look in their favorite artist but also their charisma. This single tries to explain the profound complications of having a crush on a person. The video is simple and again, sometimes simplicity is best rule to follow in a music video for a song like this. Gotta love this American Idol finalist for his song, voice and good public image.
"...You got me hypnotized... so mesmerized... and I've just got to know..."
#11.
Rihanna "Take A Bow"
- How bout a round of applause? Rihanna makes another appearance in my Top 20 list for her 1st single off her re-release of her GGGB. This track may not be upbeat and all but it's tune is very catchy and gets stuck in the head for awhile. Ne-Yo did a magnificent job with creating this masterpiece. Make the traitor take a bow as the curtains are already closing. Although many say that they had enough of this artist, it's big jump to #1 of the Billboard Hot 100 says otherwise. Making it her next #1 since Umbrella. A definite masterpiece song I must say
"...And don't tell me you're sorry cause you're not... Baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught..."
Half of the top 20 have already been revealed !!
