Oh God, this is heartbreaking. This was a terrifying story to read about. I don't know this girl, but no one deserves this. I really hope she pulls through.
I remember a story a while ago about a band that was performing in Europe I believe it was, and a gunman shot the place up during the set. It's crazy stories like these that make agree with Justin Bieber and others that are against things like meet-and-greets. Artists should absolutely be able to interact with their fans and do what they love without fear of people trying to harm them in any way. That people today can't enjoy a simple concert (as an audience member or a performer) without this happening is so indescribably sad.
Damn...the other thread just scared me WTF. I hope she pulls through though.
America seriously needs to do something about crazy people and guns. I swear, mandatory mental health checks for every single citizen should be put into place every six months or something. Cause if even our faves are in danger then you know .....that s*** just can't fly.
I'm just wondering now the effects this will have on future meet and greets from celebs. I completely understand if some singers will stop doing m&g because of this.
Ugh a few people on Twitter just now said one of the shots was to her head. Please don't be true.
That's what was posted a few pages ago, so it probably is
The only person I can think of who survived a headshot was Sen. Gabby Giffords, and that was supposedly a miraculous recovery, and even then she and her life haven't been the same since (I'm sure there are other instances, but Giffords comes to my mind).

There are some crazy people in this world.
most meet and greets are in venues with high security like arenas and large theaters/amphitheaters. Even in small clubs, meet and greets have security officers that pat you down, rather than a metal detector.
This event will probably stop some artists from meeting fans after shows in public/outside venues/on the street.
