Lady Antebellum continues its streak of multiweek leaders with “Downtown” (Capitol Nashville), which holds for a second week atop the Country Airplay list. All but one of the trio’s seven chart-toppers spent more than one week at the summit, the lone exception being “I Run to You,” which became its first No. 1 in July 2009.
The threesome’s longest chart-topping run is five weeks with “Need You Now” in November / December 2009. The balance of the trio’s previous leaders each spent two weeks atop the chart: “American Honey” and “Our Kind of Love” did so in 2010, followed by “Just a Kiss” and “We Owned the Night” in 2011. Concurrently, “Downtown” logs a third straight week at No. 1 on the Country Indicator list (the group’s eighth on that chart), marking the act’s longest run atop that scorecard since “We Owned the Night” inked the last of five straight weeks at No. 1 on the Dec. 17, 2011, chart. It also logged five straight weeks with “Need You Now” and three weeks with “American Honey" on the national formats / secondary markets chart.
