Selena Gomez feat. Big Sean & Jhene Aiko
****ed Up
Release Date: December 8th, 2013
Genre: Urban/Pop/Indie
Writers: Selena Marie Gomez, Sean Anderson, Jhené Aiko Chilombo
Production: Selena Marie Gomez, Mike Dean, Key Wane
****ed Up is very story telling. It's like Trapped In The Closet, except there are 3 of us telling our sides of the story and it isn't comedic. I'm the girl who gets cheated on, Jhene is the girl who Sean cheats with but doesn't know it until I do my part of the song. She finds out she gets played too. Sean is the guy who plays us, and at first his parts of the song sound like he's apologizing to us, in a very playerish way, but still apologizing and we eventually both forgive him, and in the end the listeners find out he still plans on playing us both and another girl. But me and Jhene don't get to hear that part. It's like we're having a conversation. - Selena Gomez
Neon Hitch Goes On 102.7 KISS FM, Debuts Single
Singer Neon Hitch went on 102.7 KISS FM, also known as On Air With Ryan Seacrest, to be interviewed as well as to play her new single, Dolla Dolla.
Ryan: And we're back! You are listening to 102.7 KISS FM, and today we will interview a artist who is best known for her collab with Gym Class Heros, in the studio now, please welcome Neon Hitch!
*applause and Neon laughs*
Neon: Hey Ryan!
Ryan: So, tell us about your new single!
Neon: Well it's called Dolla Dolla, a urban song that can hopefully cross over to pop it's just a hip-ish song about wanting money, earning money, spending money Not that I think about that ALL the time but and it's fun! Mocking modern rap a bit but yeah
Ryan: From what I heard it's pretty good, who produced it?
Neon: Aw Ryan thank you that means a lot It was produced by Mike WILL Made It, who's a really great producer and recently worked with Miley Cyrus We had a lot of fun in the studio too
Ryan: Now let's talk about your album real quick, a multitude of snippets, demos, and promo singles have been released in the past few years, now is the project cancelled? what's happening with it?
Neon: Ugh, the reason we never got a final release date is because of my old label. I'm hoping it'll see the light of the day but almost everything has been released from it so it's terrible The music as we all know is mostly mainstream pop, I consider some of it cute, and even if I wrote it's not really me. I'm not shading Benny, of course not but for now we're going to narrow down some of the demos/promo singles, and one I can honestly confirm to make it on some EP is Black And Blue.
Ryan: I see, will you re-release any of the prior singles like Love U Betta?
Neon: Probably not, it charted and flopped so It's a true story, (the songs backstory) but considering some of the backlash.. The truth is with the stuff I had last year I should've gotten at least some degree of success. And the album released!
Ryan: Now on a lighter note, will you work with Bruno Mars again?
Neon: Probably not since he's very busy I'm sure now with his career it was nice spending time with him and The Smeezingtons and I'm happy for him for taking off so well Gives me hope with the new single
Ryan: Now, before we debut the single radio wise...any info on album producers?
Neon: Well, maybe Happy Perez again
The interview then ended, not abrupt like this article , and he played the single, giving Neon her exposure.
