This is less that 4.2m from certs. (+200k from outdated sales). Where are the other 1.6m? That's a massive gap tbh. A little under 5m sounds good.

Because it's a year and a half old and Born to Die hasn't stopped charting worldwide. UWC said it crossed 6 million last time they updated, IIRC.

It crossed 5 million almost a year ago.

According to chartnews, it crossed 5 million early last fall after selling close to a million in 2014.

The album sold 1,2M in the USA and almost 1M in the UK to date, so you can add 300K more to the total amount.

Even if you wanna use the receipts of other artists who sold a LITTLE more albums, you cannot deny the staggering amount of albums she's sold considering the situation she was/is in. No Grammys, no VMAS, no hits on the album, yet people SWEAR it's one of the greatest pop debuts in recent years.

I'm not "seething" because I don't dislike her and my 3 main faves are far more successful. Just saying your*receipts contradict your claims.

You can come at me with all the blogs you want, these are still unreliable and unofficial (and based in those certs, any other album by a popgirl would be considered <5m).
